Sr. Construction Manager
Atlanta, GA

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Construction Manager to lead the deployment of Ericsson telecommunications equipment, manage ASPs (Approved Service Providers), and oversee all aspects of site construction from planning to completion. This role is responsible for ensuring projects meet Ericsson and customer standards, remain on schedule and budget, and are executed with the highest safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant telecom/construction management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; technical or trade coursework in MCA Small Cell RAN systems (DOT, PDAS, ODAS) a plus.
  • Strong background in large and small venue builds, in-building systems, backhaul, and maintenance work.
  • Experience managing general contractors, estimating construction scope, and enforcing build/quality standards.
  • Proficient with iBwave, Anritsu, ODTR fiber testing, Microsoft Office, Site Tracker, and Ericsson data management tools.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting practices, contracts, zoning/permitting, leasing laws, jurisdictional requirements, and environmental compliance.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification (telecom industry focus).
  • Experience with Ericsson equipment portfolio strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all technical aspects of telecom equipment deployment at assigned venues.
  • Conduct feasibility walks with data collection partners; verify cable routing, GPS/DOT placement, ingress/egress, and identify potential construction challenges.
  • Establish and maintain venue POCs for access and scheduling; address conflicts in advance.
  • Analyze/develop SOW and BOM with RF teams; ensure requirements align with customer needs.
  • Determine scope, methodology, materials, and equipment for construction; resolve access and material deficiencies before build.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, crew coordination, and material delivery to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Monitor construction progress, adjust schedules/budgets as needed, and report status to stakeholders.
  • Act as Ericsson's representative for inspections, supplier deliverables, and safety compliance.
  • Conduct formal EHS audits; enforce Ericsson and regulatory safety standards; halt work when necessary for compliance.
  • Review site feasibility and design changes to align with safety and build requirements.
  • Oversee ASP and crew performance; provide guidance, training, and mentorship.
  • Partner with Remote CMs and Sr. CMs to resolve supplier/service provider issues.
  • Collaborate with RF design teams to identify optimal small cell and DOT system placements.
  • Prepare and present reports on production, quality, and project issues.
  • Perform additional tasks and provide support to leadership as required.
