As the successful Public Cloud (AWS) Subject Matter Expert, you will play a critical part in supporting their Service Manager and ensuring their public cloud infrastructure is robust, reliable, and aligned with their business needs.
This is a varied and highly progressive role as you will get the chance to be across the complete lifecycle including service delivery, incident problem management, stakeholder and vendor management as well as testing and validation.
You will get to experience work on large globalisation of services, being the AWS SME during huge growth and investment in some of the biggest and best technology and global mainframes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the single point of contact between the company and the cloud service provider for all technical communications
- Provide change impact and tech analysis for planned cloud-related work or projects
- Scope timelines giving regular progress updates to stakeholders, highlighting risks or delays
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud service and solution requirements
- Oversee schedules and outages during planned changes or upgrades

- Circa £80k, based on experiences plus bonus

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in managing and supporting public cloud infrastructure environments, particularly AWS
- Experience managing large-scale tech deployments and incident management
- Strong technical expertise in demand planning, governance frameworks and capacity management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams
