Credit Risk Data Analyst
Responsibilities:
* Design and implement data-driven strategies to manage and mitigate credit risk across various customer segments
* Develop and refine rule-based systems to proactively identify and prevent financial losses
* Conduct deep-dive investigations into complex or high-impact cases to uncover root causes and inform future strategy
* Collaborate with engineering and product teams to enhance control systems and deploy real-time risk solutions
* Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, optimize credit strategies, and identify emerging risk patterns
* Build dashboards and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators and track strategy effectiveness
* Present insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders across technical and business functions
* Within 6-12 months, lead efforts to design and manage credit strategies that reduce losses while maintaining a positive customer experience
* Partner with product and engineering teams to deploy efficient, scalable credit risk controls
* Deliver compelling presentations of findings tailored to various stakeholder levels
Qualifications & Skills:
* 3+ years of experience in risk analytics, data science, or data analysis, preferably in fintech or online payments.
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Mining.
* Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel, including data science libraries.
* Experience working with large-scale datasets and applying statistical methods to solve business challenges.
* Ability to translate complex analytical results to diverse audiences, including executives and technical teams
* Comfortable navigating ambiguity and steering projects toward clear, testable, and impactful outcomes
* Experience with dashboarding tools like Tableau for visual storytelling and performance tracking
* Familiarity with DBT, AWS, credit products, and rule-based payment systems is highly preferred!
* Strong communication and project management skills.
