Our client, a UK tech business leading the way in their market, is recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst to join their team. Our client is looking for someone to bring order and direction to how their core Salesforce environment evolves, with a particular focus on freeing up time through smarter use of automation and AI.

This is a role for someone who can look at how work actually gets done, spot where effort is being wasted, and turn that insight into a roadmap that genuinely reflects business priorities. You will be trusted to manage what gets built and when, always starting from a solid understanding of process rather than jumping straight to a system fix.

A key part of the job is liaising with an external delivery partner. Rather than passing requests through unchecked, you will question, refine and prioritise what goes to them, making sure every piece of work is properly thought through first. A senior colleague will manage the overall commercial relationship, but you will be the one shaping the day to day requests.

Ultimately, this role is about three things: keeping the Salesforce roadmap focused on real business value, using your knowledge of workflow to find good opportunities for AI and automation within Salesforce and beyond, and building enough internal understanding that the organisation is not left dependent on outside help.

What You'll Do

• Decide what gets prioritised on the roadmap, based on genuine value rather than who asks loudest or most often
• Become the person colleagues rely on to explain what a system is meant to achieve and why
• Write clear, well thought through requirements and user stories, grounded in an understanding of the underlying process
• Manage the relationship with the delivery partner on a practical level, refining and sequencing work before it is passed across
• Follow through after changes are made, checking they are properly used and that they actually solve the problem intended
• Keep a running list of opportunities where automation or AI could reduce manual effort, ranked by how much value they would add
• Pass strong, well developed ideas to the automation and engineering specialists, and stay involved until they are fully bedded in
• Help weave AI into the tools people already use, so it feels native rather than tacked on
• Study how work genuinely moves through different teams, and flag where it slows down, doubles up or creates needless admin
• Document how things work and why, so knowledge is not locked away with a single person or an outside supplier

What We're Looking For

• Previous record of managing a roadmap for Salesforce or a comparable business platform, ideally as a Business Analyst / Systems Analyst or Product Owner
• A sharp eye for how work actually happens, and where automation or AI genuinely helps rather than just sounds good
• Ease working alongside colleagues without a technical background, translating what they need into something buildable
• The confidence to hold a delivery partner to account, rather than simply relaying whatever is asked for
• A clear sense of priority, and the willingness to push back or delay work that does not earn its place
• Curiosity about how AI can genuinely improve everyday work, paired with the judgement to know when it is not the right fix
• Working knowledge of Salesforce configuration and administration, or confidence picking this up quickly
• A natural inclination to document and share knowledge, rather than letting it sit with one person
