We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our clients growing technology team. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, building, automating, and supporting cloud-native infrastructure and deployment platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving platform reliability, and enabling engineering teams to deliver software efficiently and securely.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure within AWS.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Build, optimise, and support CI/CD pipelines, championing best practices across GitHub-based engineering workflows.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure platform reliability and operational resilience.
• Provide production support, incident management, and root cause analysis to minimise downtime and improve service availability.
• Drive security best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance across cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Identify opportunities for automation, reducing manual effort and increasing operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, engineering standards, and platform best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
• Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Demonstrable expertise in CI/CD tooling and GitHub-based development workflows.
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
• Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and operational support practices.
• Knowledge of security principles, vulnerability management, and cloud security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for automation and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering teams.
