API Test Automation Engineer

Senior QA Automation Engineer | Playwright | Selenium | API Testing

We're seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality software through robust automated testing. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative agile team and play a key role in driving test automation across both UI and API layers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable automated test frameworks.
• Create and execute automated tests for web applications and APIs.
• Drive quality engineering best practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners and DevOps teams.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to shift-left testing approaches.
• Analyse defects, identify root causes and ensure rapid resolution.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in API Test Automation.
• Hands-on expertise with Playwright for modern UI test automation.
• Experience developing and maintaining Selenium automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of REST API testing, validation and automation.
• Proven experience in UI Automation Testing.
• Experience creating automated test suites from functional and non-functional requirements.
• Knowledge of test design techniques and quality engineering principles.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Desirable Skills

• CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Performance and non-functional testing exposure.
• Experience with cloud-based environments.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks and automation best practices.
