Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager - Microsoft Cyber Security Software Applications

Our top corporate client has a major cyber transformation programme underway to consolidate legacy and non‑Microsoft cyber security solutions into a modern, unified Microsoft security ecosystem.

They are looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager for Microsoft Cyber Security Software Applications, you will lead the delivery of this transformation-managing multiple enterprise‑scale projects focused on Microsoft's security suite and driving the migration away from legacy platforms such as Splunk, Siebel, and other historic SIEM technologies.

This is a fast‑paced, high‑visibility delivery role working across a global, highly regulated environment governed by SOX, GDPR, and GxP controls.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Project Manager for Microsoft Cyber Security Software Applications:

  1. Migration & Transformation Delivery

- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of migrations from legacy and non‑Microsoft security tools into the modern Microsoft security stack.

- Oversee implementation and integration across: Microsoft Sentinel; Microsoft Defender for Cloud; Microsoft Defender for Endpoint & Servers; Microsoft Purview; Microsoft DLP; Microsoft 365 email security.

  1. Programme & Project Leadership

- Manage multiple major in‑flight Microsoft security projects concurrently.

- Produce high‑quality project artefacts: execution plans, design documents, RAID logs, sprint plans, governance packs, and schedules.

  1. Governance, Risk & Issue Management

- Own and maintain end‑to‑end RAID management.

- Proactively identify, track, escalate, and resolve risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.

- Provide reporting to senior Cyber, Technology, and Programme leadership.

- Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, GxP, and internal controls.

  1. Technical & Cyber Alignment

- Collaborate with Cyber Architecture, Security Engineering, SOC & Threat Intelligence, Cloud & Platform teams, Identity & Access Management, Data Protection & Privacy.

- Ensure new solutions meet target-state requirements for security, monitoring, compliance, and incident response.

- Support integrations between Microsoft products and CSPM tools such as Wiz.

  1. Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement

- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Cyber Security, Technology, Risk, Data Protection, and global business teams.

- Communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical audiences.

Experience & Qualifications for the Senior Project Manager for Microsoft Cyber Security Software Applications

- Large‑scale cyber security transformation experience in global organisations.

- Expertise with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint & Servers, Purview, Microsoft 365 email security.

- Experience with Splunk, Siebel, legacy SIEM, CrowdStrike, Wiz.

- Understanding of SOX, GDPR, GxP.

- Experience with Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, Hybrid.

- Proficient with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project.

- Governance, documentation, tracking, and reporting skills.

Highly Desirable

- Experience in CPG, Retail, Pharma/Life Sciences.

- Certifications: PMP, Prince2, MSP, SAFe, Microsoft Security.

- Familiarity with NIST, ISO, CIS Controls.
