QA Engineer

Job Title: Senior QA Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA Onsite, M-F
Pay Rate: $50.00 - $60.00/hour (depends on experience level)
Type: Contract

Job Duties
Lorien has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated QA Engineer to join customer, a leader in e-commerce, on a contract basis. In this role, you will partner closely with Software Development Engineers, Product Managers, and fellow QA Engineers to ensure the reliability of digital products for critical, high-visibility projects. The ideal candidate has 4-6 years of relevant experience, is detail-oriented with a passion for quality, and lives within a commutable distance to the office in Seattle, WA for an onsite work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for web-based applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software Development Engineers, Product Managers, and QA teams, to ensure product quality and successful releases.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution.
• Establish and maintain test data and testing environments as needed.
• Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing of applications.
• Analyze test results, communicate findings, and provide recommendations for quality improvements.
• Support quality assurance processes throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Work effectively in a Linux/Unix environment to support testing activities.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 4-6 years of professional software testing experience, including web application testing.
• Strong experience with QA methodologies, processes, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Selenium and Catena.
• Experience with HTML and JavaScript.
• Proficiency working within Linux/Unix environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to identify and troubleshoot software issues.

• Experience with Java and SQL are preferred
• Experience testing widely used digital products or applications for recognized (preferred)
